I'll pass on reciting the countless acts of violent crime this week. They just keep coming and coming without end, check for yourself.
What I'd like to share with you this week is the list ... the list of 25 teenage fatalities, victims of Londons violent criminals. 25 ... at last count.
Two of them were shot to death. Only two, or ... oh my god there were two of them?
Only two, as if to mean that guns are available after all and ever so deadly as compared to knives or other sharp objects which were used to kill ... well pretty much everybody else.
Oh my god two, if you honestly believe that strict gun control prevents gun crime.
One of these kids was killed with a shard of broken glass for crying out loud, how are you going to gt rid of their weapons? How are you going to prevent them from ganging up on their victims and beating them to death? By making it illegal ... even more so?
Twenty five and counting.
Who still remembers when the time to act was passed by?

Current events in the UK
Welcome all to the gun debate critic on Sunday, as I glance at the other side of the pond and see if the UK is starting to become a peacefull utopia yet. Just a quick glance this sunday:
Starting off with the hint of mystery, a man was killed in a street attack, cause of death undisclosed.
Two people were stabbed but will likely live, another man was stabbed to death. Two others were injured, one of them a 17 year old. Another mas was stabbed with a broken bottle, I can only assume that after the obviously succesfull laws concerning knives, we'll now be seeing the outlawing of glass bottles as well.
A man was shot to death in London and a woman set a van with an acetylene cilinder on fire, acetylene is a highly explosive gas.
Nope, not quite there yet ...

Gang attacks child with spraypaint.
A six year old witness to graffiti vandalism was attacked by gang members who sprayed him in the face with their paint, buring the childs eyes.
One of the believed attackers 15 year old who I can only assume is an honor roll student at his local highschool is currently in custody and is being charged with assault with a caustic chemical, kidnapping and felony vandalism.
What plaegues the inner cities is thug culture it is causing a lot of people to be unwilling to talk to either press or police. It is a real and serious issue that juvenile gang members are perfectly willing to commit these heinous acts, it is an issue that we need to deal with!
Oh, be prepared to hear Jack Thompson claim this is all because of the graffiti in GTA: San Andreas.

Vehicular manslaughter: gun free Vs gun freedoms
Today a man in Israel tried to kill a number of people by mashing a bulldozer into them. He was able to kill three people before somebody used a gun to stop the treath.
This is Israel, where if not by a police officer, one of the many citizens who go through their everyday life carrying fully automatic submachineguns could have stopped this attacker.
This stands in stark contrast with similar events that took place in Japan:
Armed with a far less dangerous vehicle, a Japanese man drove a truck into an entire crowd of people, hopped out and went on stabbing people, killing seven. That's more than twice the amount of people killed by the guy in the bulldozer!
The guy was out on the street, running around! One need not even clim onto a bulldozer or anything similar to stop him! Point, click, lives saved.

Crossbow assault ...
So, a 39 year old man living with his mother gets so angry with her because she charges him rent that he decides to kill her. He shot her with a crossbow, she still managed to call for help but died in the hospital.
It's people that kill people, not crossbows, not guns, not motorvehicles ... people.
And there's some sacry people out there ... his own mother?! You don't think people like that will gladly continue to kill eachother long after guns (and crossbows) have been banned?

Seven injured, burned in chemical attack.
A group of people was attacked when somebody sprayed them with a caustic chemical of some sort, seven were injured and at least one person recieved second degree burns.
It's not the first time I warn of chemical weapons, my post concerning "works bombs" are toppers in terms of visits for some reason.
The average household is often overflowing with dangerous chemicals ... chemicals that are hardly controlled, and can be used rather well as weapons. A person bent on harming multiple people might very well do so by building a proper chemical weapon.
You cannot disarm psychopats, you can help them, or defend yourself against their attacks.

95 year old lady in a wheelchair fights off burglar.
That's right, a 95 year old woman ... in a wheelchair ... with a screwdriver!
The burglar was Robert R Horsley, a 45 year old man who's seen his share of court proceedings. He'd broken a window, but as he reached in to unlock the door, the li'l old lady stabbed him in the arm/hand with a screwdriver. So the burglar does the reasonable thing, he waits a couple of seconds and then reaches in again, and the lady stabs him again ...
This went on untill Horsley passed out on the porch due to blood loss, and a sizeable portion of the internet was giggling like abunch of Fench schoolgirls.
She sais she'll have the screwdriver gold-plated now.
I do hope she realizes that any criminal who isn't a complete moron might have just kicked the door in ... that's where plan B should come into play: the use of force adequate to stop the attacker.
Hat tip to the temples "I found it on the web"

Nonviolent chemical warfare ...!?
here's a new one .. as well as some pretty bunk reporting if you ask me.
This article speaks of whalers being bombarded with either rotting butter, or bottles of butyric acid. Now, if they had really been attacked with butyric acid, they would have been forced to abandon ship, so the entire "rotting butter that contains some butyric acid" seems a lot more plausible.
Goes to show exactly what things some people will call "non-violent". Yeah, hurling chemicals that cause slippery floors on a ship on the high seas is perfectly safe ... or not.
The entire "rotting butter" thing also goes to show the half-assed-ness of these protestors. Doesn't every child know that cut up potatoes in a jar of water covered in a layer of oil works way better to make butyric acid? Amateurs ... puh.
And by that, I mean in no way to say that I synthesise dangerous chemicals for a living ... though I did make some stinky ester in the lab a couple of days back ... I just think these "nonviolent chemical attack" people are idiots.

Don't bring a machete to a biker fight.
So, a group of thugs has been returing to this one club to rob it. They arm themselves with machetes.
The Bingo group told them to be quit in the past, as they couldn't hear the numbers being called. But this time, the robbers picked the wrong crowd to rob.
Two men armed with machetes barged in to find: well over four dozen of bikers, who took up chairs, chains tables and one of the thughs to defend their life and property.
The getaway driver got away, but one robber was hogtied and delivered to the police, another one also fled the scene, but was picked up by police nearby. I suspect it was easy to spot him, as he looked like he'd just been in a fight with 50 bikers.
I do believe "owned" would be the appropriate netspeak word.
